In the 12th minute, Farnham's Lamar Lum ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mitch Boston. Mitch Boston yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Stevie Chadwick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Famih Chien-Kwan hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Tim Addison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Middridge Village AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Farnham the free kick. A collision led to Middridge Village AFC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Harvey Searle hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, Middridge Village AFC's goalkeeper Mitch Boston had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gara Hian. After having played for 47 minutes, Dale Ee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Farnham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dale Ee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lamar Lum stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tim Addison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Zack Ching tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dale Ee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Farnham's zone, Tim Addison stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zack Ching came out of the goal and Tim Addison tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dale Ee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Boston having to interfere. Mitch Boston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Ee in the 65th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lamar Lum in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mitch Boston saved Middridge Village AFC from getting behind. When Dale Ee fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Farnham's protests and gave Dale Ee a yellow card for diving instead. Mitch Boston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lamar Lum's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Middridge Village AFC's zone, Lamar Lum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mitch Boston came out of the goal and Lamar Lum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mitch Boston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dale Ee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lamar Lum charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lamar Lum the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th minute, Lamar Lum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Farnham's goal looked a bit too open when Tim Addison came free, but Zack Ching reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mitch Boston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lamar Lum in the 89th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Middridge Village AFC got a freekick which was hit by Crispin Wild. Farnham's Tan Teo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Middridge Village AFC. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
