Firdauz Soon kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Faris Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Faris Tan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Bryan Chew made a huge save. Anil Lee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 14 played minutes Newton Heath FC got a freekick which was hit by Lamar Laycock. Zack Paine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Bryan Chew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 minutes, Daniel Dryburgh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newton Heath FC and the Chislehurst City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Newton Heath FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Dryburgh to maneuver through the defense. If Khairul Wah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faris Tan in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bryan Chew prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Faris Tans short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Bryan Chew to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Newton Heath FC's Bryan Chew proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Newton Heath FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 37 minutes, Sharizan Ching managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chislehurst City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sharizan Ching was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Samuel Kool hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jonathan Hock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Khairul Wah made a precise shot to the right of Iskandar Soon. Chislehurst City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After the first half Newton Heath FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Faris Tan made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Faris Tan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Newton Heath FC's Daniel Dryburgh dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. If Zack Paine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faris Tan in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bryan Chew saved Newton Heath FC from getting behind. Bryan Chew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faris Tan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bryan Chew showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sharizan Ching in the 69th minute of the match. The supporters of Chislehurst City booed when Newton Heath FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Dryburgh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faris Tan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Bryan Chew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Faris Tan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bryan Chew was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Bryan Chew showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faris Tan in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Daniel Dryburgh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Zack Paine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 92 played minutes Newton Heath FC got a freekick which was hit by Wong Tan. Newton Heath FC's Daniel Dryburgh got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Daniel Dryburgh off the ground. A collision led to Newton Heath FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Daniel Dryburgh hit a great ball. Newton Heath FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Chislehurst City's much stronger midfield.
