Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Shukrie Tuan started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Shirebrook booed when Maylandseasky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryan Tee didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniz Chai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Giosu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Azli Lam kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Shukrie Tuan took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lamar Gopala Pillai to make any attempt to save it. Lamar Gopala Pillai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ong Swee in the 12th minute of play. Shukrie Tuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Lamar Gopala Pillai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Maylandseasky's Lamar Gopala Pillai got control of the ball when Jerry Yeo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Shukrie Tuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shirebrook's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shukrie Tuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th match minute, Shirebrook was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shukrie Tuan to maneuver through the defense. The Maylandseasky fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Maylandseasky's Lucrețiu Giosu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shukrie Tuan in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lamar Gopala Pillai prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Maylandseasky booed when Shirebrook was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afiq Devan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Maylandseasky's Lucrețiu Giosu in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shirebrook's goalie prevented a goal. With 35 minutes on the clock, Jonathan Boon commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Jerry Yeo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lamar Gopala Pillai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Jerry Yeo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lamar Gopala Pillai having to interfere. After the first half Maylandseasky were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucrețiu Giosu was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Lucrețiu Giosu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniz Chai was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Lucrețiu Giosu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Daniz Chai firmly grabbed it by the left post. 57 minutes into the game, Shirebrook's Jerry Yeo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lamar Gopala Pillai made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Jaromír Mauer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniz Chai having to interfere. After 71 minutes, Sean Siong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shirebrook and the Maylandseasky players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sean Siong kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Azli Lam hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Daniz Chai made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Jaromír Mauer sent off a good shot on target. Jerry Yeo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lamar Gopala Pillai having to interfere. Sajeev Siong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Azly Hian hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Shirebrook's Jerry Yeo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lamar Gopala Pillai narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Maylandseasky's zone, Clive Seng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lamar Gopala Pillai came out of the goal and Clive Seng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Maylandseasky players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
