With a little luck, Toa Payoh Town's Rifki Lim got control of the ball when Sharizan Dryburgh tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute, Bakar Abisheganaden reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rifki Lim. The goal made the score 1-0. After 39 played minutes Toa Payoh Town got a freekick which was hit by Afiz Siang. Rifki Lim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rifki Lim, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prime Paine to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Sharizan Dryburgh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rifki Lim was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The long shot by Prime Paine in the 58th minute really tested Ong Low's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 61st match minute, Toa Payoh Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prime Paine to maneuver through the defense. Rifki Lim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rifki Lim, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After some careless play in the Braunton defense, Jonathan Chandran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ong Low. The Braunton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ong Low should have stopped the shot. 67 minutes into the game, Fariz Tee threw the ball into play from the sideline.
