In the 6th minute, one of Mangotsfield:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mangotsfield. In the 19th minute, Gabriel Hsin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Steven Keng came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Mangotsfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steven Keng couldn't finish the play. After 21 minutes, Azli Vijiaratnam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malton and the Mangotsfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. Azli Vijiaratnam kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Mangotsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Khai Tioe came free, but Clive Dyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ryan Braddell's late challenge caught a Malton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ryan Braddell helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Malton booed when Mangotsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Braddell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel Hsin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Clive Dyce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Khai Tioe to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Gabriel Hsin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malton's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Hsin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clive Dyce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute Faiz Siang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Dyce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clive Dyce came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Malton's Faiz Siang. But to his dismay, Faiz Siang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Steven Keng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mangotsfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Steven Keng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sean Sarangapani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Steven Keng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Sarangapani having to interfere. Clive Dyce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khai Tioe, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Clive Dyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Hsin in the 79th minute of play. Clive Dyce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Khai Tioe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Gabriel Hsin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. When Gabriel Hsin got free in front of the goal in the 88th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Clive Dyce was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
