Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sean Lim took the kick off in the first half of the match. Sean Yeo came free with the goalkeeper in the 3rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Khairil Seng could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Firdauz Hoe got free with Khairil Seng in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alif Pieng's late challenge caught a Liversedge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alif Pieng helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Sudbury AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alif Pieng. Steven Boon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jithu Tioe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shahron Ching in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jithu Tioe saved Liversedge from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Lamar Yeo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sean Yeo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Khairil Seng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jithu Tioe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ron Devan, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 30th minute, Nicholas Abdul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steven Boon in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jithu Tioe saved Liversedge from getting behind. In the 33rd minute Sean Lim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khairil Seng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicholas Abdul kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Lamar Yeo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jithu Tioe having to interfere. Shahron Ching fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jithu Tioe having to interfere. If Shahron Ching had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Liversedge's goal looked a bit too open when Shahron Ching came free, but Jithu Tioe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Lamar Yeo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shahron Ching to strike the kick off in the second half. Sudbury AFC's Khairil Seng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Yeo in the 52nd minute of play. Shahron Ching fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jithu Tioe having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Steven Boon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jithu Tioe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Shahron Ching received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Jithu Tioe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shahron Ching in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jithu Tioe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jithu Tioe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shahron Ching in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Liversedge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Firdauz Hoe to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Steven Boon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sudbury AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Steven Boon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jithu Tioe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Liversedge's Nicholas Abdul got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Khairil Seng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Lim in the 74th minute of play. During the 78th minute of the match Nicholas Abdul completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nicholas Abdul a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 79 played minutes Liversedge got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Abdul. Faizal Hong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jithu Tioe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ron Devan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jithu Tioe having to interfere. Steven Boon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Shahron Ching's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jithu Tioe was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Ron Devan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 96th minute, Lamar Yeo made a precise shot to the right of Jithu Tioe. Liversedge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Sudbury AFC played a much better game than Liversedge and deserved their victory. The Liversedge players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
