Rifki Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danial Yeo in the 13th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Polperro's Faris Soon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rifki Lim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 38 minutes into the match, Toa Payoh Town's goal looked a bit too open when Danial Yeo came free, but Rifki Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, Polperro's Danial Yeo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rifki Lim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Prime Paine to strike the kick off in the second half. Toa Payoh Town's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Faris Soon scored to the left of an out of position Rifki Lim, making the score, 0-3. Steven Chan kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Faris Soon in the 59th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Rifki Lim's left hand side. Adam Lee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Farhan Yi-Sheng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faris Soon charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faris Soon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 63rd minute, Faris Soon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathan Chandran in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Lee saved Polperro from getting behind. Adam Lee showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Chandran in the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Danial Yeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rifki Lim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danial Yeo got free with Rifki Lim in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rifki Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faris Soon in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Toa Payoh Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prime Paine to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Prime Braddell in the 86th minute really tested Rifki Lim's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Rifki Lim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danial Yeo in the 87th minute. Rifki Lim made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Jonathan Dyce sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Chandran in the 91st minute of play forced Polperro's goalkeeper Adam Lee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faizal Au made in the 94th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jonathan Dyce. After 95 played minutes Toa Payoh Town got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Chandran.
