Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Khai Tioe made the kick off which started today's match. Sean Lim's late challenge caught a Malton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sean Lim helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Liversedge getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Sean Lim hit a great ball. After 9 played minutes Khai Tioe rounded Liversedge's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Malton's goal looked a bit too open when Nicholas Abdul came free, but Sean Sarangapani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sean Yeo succeeded in the game's 14th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After a rather tough play, Liversedge's Sean Lim got a free kick in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sean Lim in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sean Sarangapani saved Malton from getting behind. In the 33rd minute Sean Yeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Sarangapani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Liversedge's Sean Yeo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sean Sarangapani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 37 minutes into the match, Malton's goal looked a bit too open when Sean Yeo came free, but Sean Sarangapani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liversedge's Nicholas Abdul got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sean Sarangapani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Yeo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicholas Abdul scored 1-4 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sean Sarangapani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Faiz Siang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sean Lim was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Firdauz Hoe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sean Sarangapani. Malton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Firdauz Hoe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. After a defensive mix-up in Malton's zone, Firdauz Hoe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sean Sarangapani came out of the goal and Firdauz Hoe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Malton's Sean Sarangapani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Lim in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute of the match, Firdauz Hoe got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sean Sarangapani was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicholas Abdul during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nicholas Abdul hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Khai Tioe in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jithu Tioe saved Liversedge from getting behind. Liversedge's Sean Lim got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Sean Lim off the ground. After a rather tough play, Liversedge's Sean Lim got a free kick in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Firdauz Hoe notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Malton's Sean Sarangapani. Sean Sarangapani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th match minute, Malton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ron Dryburgh to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Liversedge's Wong Swee tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Sean Sarangapani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sean Yeo in the 75th minute. If Faiz Siang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jithu Tioe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khai Tioe, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Sean Sarangapani didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sean Yeo went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. If Faiz Siang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Liversedge left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Malton.
