After 31 played minutes Northwood got a freekick which was hit by Adam Leng. Victor Wah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mohammad Rajah in the 35th minute of play. Tan Shiong struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Victor Wah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lewes. A hard shot by Wei Xuan Tan from long distance, 46 minutes into the match, got Gage Seah's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Gage Seah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Hoe in the 48th minute of play. The Northwood players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lewes were winning 0-1.

With a little luck, Northwood's Victor Wah got control of the ball when Tan Shiong tried to sneak it across the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Northwood's Adam Leng nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gage Seah made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 64th minute of the match Ronn Shyan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gage Seah skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Northwood's Victor Wah got control of the ball when Tan Shiong tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 70 minutes of play, Lewes's Tan Shiong made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Wah was left in no man's land by his defense there! Victor Wah stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darren Lum's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Victor Wah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darren Lum in the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren Lum in the 81st minute of play forced Northwood's goalkeeper Victor Wah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Northwood defense, Tan Shiong kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Victor Wah. The Northwood fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Victor Wah should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute, Tan Shiong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Wah was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Lewes's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
