Great Leighs's Gara Seng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Hong in the 20th minute of play. In the 47thth minute of the game Anil Chai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Halesworth United's Lamar Boon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Merlin Shiong to strike the kick off in the second half. Muhammad Kool's late challenge caught a Halesworth United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Merlin Shiong in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gara Seng prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
