Yakiv Vaseruk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Gorria in the 9th minute of the match. Yakiv Vaseruk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Lim in the 10th minute of play. Yakiv Vaseruk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alan Gorria, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Brighton's SK Ramachandran got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Alan Gorria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yakiv Vaseruk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slice of Life's Yakiv Vaseruk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Hitchcock in the 18th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Slice of Life's zone, Alfred Hitchcock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yakiv Vaseruk came out of the goal and Alfred Hitchcock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Muhammad Kang charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Muhammad Kang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Brighton getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Muhammad Kang hit a great ball. Slice of Life's SK Gopala Pillai quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Muhammad Kang, made in the 42nd minute of the game. In a very dangerous position, a player in Slice of Life fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Brighton a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rudy Lee, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Slice of Life's Yakiv Vaseruk. 0-3. Alfred Hitchcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alan Gorria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Slice of Life's Yakiv Vaseruk got control of the ball when Alfred Hitchcock tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfred Hitchcock scored 0-4 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yakiv Vaseruk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute, Firdauz Chee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 63rd minute of the match, Alfred Hitchcock got a very nice opportunity to score, but Yakiv Vaseruk was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 64th minute Alfred Hitchcock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yakiv Vaseruk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yakiv Vaseruk was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alan Gorria showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 66 minute of play. Alfred Hitchcock scored 0-6 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yakiv Vaseruk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Albert Lim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brighton's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Lim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yakiv Vaseruk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Lim in the 80th minute of play forced Slice of Life's goalkeeper Yakiv Vaseruk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Slice of Life's Yakiv Vaseruk got control of the ball when Alfred Hitchcock tried to sneak it across the goal line. SK Ramachandran kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Slice of Life's Yakiv Vaseruk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Slice of Life from getting a goal against them. After 90th play minutes Alfred Hitchcock shot 0-7, a short shot which went by Yakiv Vaseruk and just under the crossbar into goal. The Slice of Life fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Brighton were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
