Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jonathan Chian got the match started through his kick off. Tan Shiong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darren Lum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haziq Hsin having to interfere. In the 16th minute Darren Lum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haziq Hsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danial Hong was extremely unlucky when he, in the 18th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren Lum in the 20th minute of play forced Williton's goalkeeper Haziq Hsin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khairul Chien-Kwan's late challenge caught a Lewes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Khairul Chien-Kwan helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Williton got a freekick which was hit by Khairul Chien-Kwan. Haziq Hsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tan Shiong, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Lewes's Tan Shiong got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tan Shiong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darren Lum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Williton's goal looked a bit too open when Tan Shiong came free, but Haziq Hsin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haziq Hsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darren Lum, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With a little luck, Lewes's Gage Seah got control of the ball when Danial Hong tried to sneak it across the goal line. Haziq Hsin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Lum in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Darren Lum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lewes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darren Lum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wei Xuan Chew hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Williton defense, Darren Lum kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Haziq Hsin. The Williton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Haziq Hsin should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darren Lum was the one to do the kick off. Darren Lum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haziq Hsin having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Williton's goal looked a bit too open when Darren Lum came free, but Haziq Hsin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Williton's Khairul Chien-Kwan got a free kick in the 67th minute. Tan Shiong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haziq Hsin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohammad Rajah in the 82nd minute of the match. Tan Shiong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haziq Hsin having to interfere. Jonathan Chian scored 2-1 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gage Seah, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Williton support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
