Spectators: 6932 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1932, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Albert Ning started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Temasek booed when Northwood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronn Shyan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Temasek's goalkeeper Zak Ramachandran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adam Leng. Zak Ramachandran didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 11th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. When Merlin Sim fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Northwood's protests and gave Merlin Sim a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, Northwood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merlin Sim to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Albert Ning made a precise shot to the right of Victor Wah. Northwood's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 21 minutes into the game, Arif Hoe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zak Ramachandran. Arif Hoe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Bryan Namasivayam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Wah having to interfere. A collision led to Northwood getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Ronn Gopala Pillai hit a great ball. Bryan Namasivayam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albert Ning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Bryan Namasivayam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Victor Wah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Albert Ning came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Temasek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albert Ning couldn't finish the play. Ron Chee hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Bryan Namasivayam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bryan Namasivayam took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Wah. Victor Wah dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Bryan Namasivayam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arif Hoe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Bryan Namasivayam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Temasek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bryan Namasivayam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victor Wah made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Albert Ning sent off a good shot on target. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 67 minutes, Bryan Namasivayam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Temasek and the Northwood players grew even worse after the yellow card. Temasek's Zak Ramachandran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Leng in the 69th minute of play. With his leg Victor Wah managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Temasek's Albert Ning fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bryan Namasivayam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Victor Wah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Northwood's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bryan Namasivayam 79 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-4. Ronn Shyan hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Northwood's zone, Albert Ning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Wah came out of the goal and Albert Ning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zak Ramachandran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Seng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Temasek's Zak Ramachandran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Leng in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Temasek's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wei Xuan Tan was slow to take the kick. During this time Northwood's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Temasek's goalie and right to Aziz Lam. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Temasek's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
