The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gara Seng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shahiran Hsin, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After a rather tough play, Great Leighs's Amir Tan got a free kick in the 7th minute. Gara Seng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shahiran Hsin in the 10th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Wallsend 777's Danish Tian got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute, Shahiran Hsin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gara Seng came out of the goal and Danish Tian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Wallsend 777 getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Danish Tian hit a great ball. Muhammad Soon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anil Chai in the 36th minute of the match. Danish Tian struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Gara Seng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wallsend 777. 43 minutes into the match, Danish Tian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gara Seng. Great Leighs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danish Tian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. When Danish Tian came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Wallsend 777 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danish Tian couldn't finish the play. After the first half Wallsend 777 were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
In the 54th minute, Wallsend 777's Shahiran Hsin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gara Seng. Gara Seng yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. 59 minutes into the game, Great Leighs's Anil Chai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Muhammad Soon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. In the 63rd minute, Anil Chai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Great Leighs fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. If Shahiran Hsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72ndth minute of the game Anil Chai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Wallsend 777's Muhammad Soon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zack Abdul's late challenge caught a Great Leighs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zack Abdul helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Wallsend 777's Zack Abdul got a free kick in the 74th minute. Shahiran Hsin hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. If Shahiran Hsin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Wallsend 777 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
