The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Haziq Hsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryan Namasivayam, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Danial Hong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Zak Ramachandran made a huge save. A collision led to Temasek getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ryan Choy hit a great ball. In the 18th minute of the match Dale Lee shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zak Ramachandran showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bryan Namasivayam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bryan Namasivayam in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haziq Hsin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Temasek getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Albert Ning hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Chian in the 32nd minute of play forced Temasek's goalkeeper Zak Ramachandran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haziq Hsin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryan Namasivayam in the 36th minute of play. Didi Seng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Haziq Hsin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Bryan Namasivayam got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albert Ning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haziq Hsin having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, Williton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Braddell to maneuver through the defense. Bryan Namasivayam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Haziq Hsin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albert Ning to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Albert Ning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ron Lim hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Temasek's Bryan Namasivayam in the 62nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Haziq Hsin was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Williton through an amazing save. 64 minutes into the match, Temasek's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Chian came free, but Zak Ramachandran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Williton's Jonathan Chian nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zak Ramachandran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The supporters of Williton booed when Temasek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Seng didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Williton's Jonathan Chian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zak Ramachandran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Ryan Choy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Temasek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Williton the free kick. Ryan Choy kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 83 minutes into the game, when Didi Seng put in a rough tackle. 88 minutes into the match, Khairul Chien-Kwan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zak Ramachandran. Temasek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Khairul Chien-Kwan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Danial Hong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Zak Ramachandran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
