Spectators: 6950 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1950, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Anil Chai got the match started through his kick off. When Great Leighs's Danial Phua in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Northwood's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aziz Lam during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Northwood getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Aziz Lam hit a great ball. If Anil Chai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 13 minutes into the match, Great Leighs's Anil Chai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Wah narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Merlin Sim kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Northwood's zone, Sajeev Politiek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Wah came out of the goal and Sajeev Politiek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 16 minutes of play Northwood's Aziz Lam was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 16 played minutes Northwood got a freekick which was hit by Aziz Lam. Anil Chai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Northwood's goalkeeper Victor Wah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Victor Wah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anil Chai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Seng kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Ryan Butcher made a precise shot to the right of Victor Wah. Northwood's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, Northwood's goal looked a bit too open when Nicholas Liang came free, but Victor Wah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Amir Tan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amir Tan charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amir Tan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Anil Chai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adam Leng to make the kick off. When Adam Leng fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Northwood's protests and gave Adam Leng a yellow card for diving instead. After 51 played minutes Northwood got a freekick which was hit by Adam Leng. Danial Phua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Victor Wah made a huge save. When Anil Chai came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Great Leighs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anil Chai couldn't finish the play. If Anil Chai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59thth minute of the game Anil Chai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Northwood's Victor Wah was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Northwood's Adam Leng got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Great Leighs's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Leng came free, but Gara Seng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danial Phua kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Ryan Butcher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 69th minute Anil Chai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Wah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anil Chai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anil Chai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victor Wah having to make a save. Anil Chai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Wah having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danial Phua got free with Victor Wah in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Great Leighs booed when Northwood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ron Chee didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ryan Butcher charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ryan Butcher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adam Leng got in the 82nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Gara Seng handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Gara Seng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Leng in the 85th minute of play. Gara Seng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ron Chee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gara Seng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Leng, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Victor Wah made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Anil Chai sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Great Leighs could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Northwood throughout the match.
