After having played for 7 minutes, Steven Shyan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wallsend 777's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steven Shyan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Northwood's Victor Wah got control of the ball when Danish Tian tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Seng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Muhammad Soon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arif Hoe hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. With his leg Victor Wah managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Wallsend 777's Danish Tian fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Muhammad Soon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Leng, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 21 minutes of play, Northwood's Arif Hoe made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Muhammad Soon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wallsend 777's Steven Shyan got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Wallsend 777 booed when Northwood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Leng didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 minutes Northwood's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Shahiran Hsin who took care of the corner kick. When Ron Chee came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Northwood fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ron Chee couldn't finish the play. Victor Wah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven Shyan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Shahiran Hsin in the 45th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arif Hoe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Arif Hoe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muhammad Soon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Wallsend 777's goal looked a bit too open when Arif Hoe came free, but Muhammad Soon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ron Chee hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 61st play minute Adam Leng came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Muhammad Soon. 1-2. In the 64th match minute, Northwood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Leng to maneuver through the defense. Steven Shyan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danish Tian in the 67th minute of play forced Northwood's goalkeeper Victor Wah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wallsend 777's Muhammad Soon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Wallsend 777 from getting a goal against them. Victor Wah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danish Tian, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shahiran Hsin in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Wah saved Northwood from getting behind. If Steven Shyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danish Tian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Although Wallsend 777 had been in control for most of the match, Northwood still came away with the win.
