Lewes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Slice of Life the free kick. Yakiv Vaseruk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammad Rajah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lewes's Ong Braddell got a free kick in the 18th minute. Lewes's Mohammad Rajah got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Slice of Life's Yakiv Vaseruk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohammad Rajah in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute Mohammad Rajah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yakiv Vaseruk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yakiv Vaseruk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tan Shiong, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Muhammad Shyan made a kick off. Slice of Life's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Mohammad Rajah scored to the left of an out of position Yakiv Vaseruk, making the score, 0-1. In the 59th match minute, Slice of Life was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wong Abisheganaden to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Lewes's Mohammad Rajah dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. With a little luck, Slice of Life's Yakiv Vaseruk got control of the ball when Mohammad Rajah tried to sneak it across the goal line. Asiz Hong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gage Seah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yakiv Vaseruk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohammad Rajah in the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Lewes's Prime Choy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yakiv Vaseruk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lewes walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
