Zak Chong started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amir Chandran in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dênis Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dênis Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Tuan in the 4th minute of the match. Amir Chandran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dênis Alves having to make a save. Sajeev Braddell hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the match, Amir Chandran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dênis Alves. Peranakan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amir Chandran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Dênis Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Firdauz Yip in the 17th minute of play. Gage Tian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dênis Alves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amir Chandran in the 19th minute of play forced Peranakan's goalkeeper Dênis Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rifki Dhanabalan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Chelmsford AFC's Mark Au got control of the ball when Zak Chong tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mark Au stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zak Chong's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerard Tuan during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Gerard Tuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zak Chong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Mark Au made a huge save. Zak Chong in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mark Au, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gerard Tuan got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Chelmsford AFC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. In the 46th minute, Amir Chandran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

A collision led to Chelmsford AFC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gage Tian hit a great ball. Dênis Alves didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Chelmsford AFC's Amir Chandran shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Chelmsford AFC's Firdauz Yip has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 65th minute. If Firdauz Yip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Amir Chandran made a precise shot to the right of Dênis Alves. Peranakan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 76 minutes into the match, Zak Henderson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mark Au. Chelmsford AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zak Henderson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Rifki Dhanabalan struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Mark Au didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peranakan. Amir Chandran succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-4 in the 83rd playminute. Firdauz Yip recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zak Chong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rifki Dhanabalan came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Peranakan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rifki Dhanabalan couldn't finish the play. The Chelmsford AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chelmsford AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
