When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Aziz Tee took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for John Cheng to make any attempt to save it. John Cheng made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Didi Ramachandran sent off a good shot on target. Shah Soon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wei Xuan Kang having to interfere. Prime Chandran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Prime Chandran in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wei Xuan Kang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 53rd minute Aziz Tee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Cheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Harold Hill's Aziz Tee nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Cheng made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 64 played minutes Harold Hill got a freekick which was hit by Zack Mathews. A hard shot 65 in the game by Prime Chandran from a close distance when the talented Wei Xuan Kang managed to make a qualified save. Harold Hill's players were relieved. Dale Pieng might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wei Xuan Kang. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dale Pieng ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 79th match minute, Harold Hill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Seng to maneuver through the defense. If Dale Pieng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prime Chian in the 93rd minute of play.
