Faiz Shiong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Firdauz Yip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gage Tian in the 4th minute of play forced Runcorn AFC's goalkeeper Faiz Shiong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th match minute, Runcorn AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Hongyi to maneuver through the defense. Runcorn AFC's Faiz Shiong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amir Chandran in the 6th minute of play. In the 10th match minute, Chelmsford AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerard Pieng to maneuver through the defense. Aziz Singh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Mark Au tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Aziz Singh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Runcorn AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aziz Singh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mark Au breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amir Chandran might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Faiz Shiong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amir Chandran ran back to his position shaking his head. Gage Tian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Faiz Shiong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Runcorn AFC's Faiz Shiong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amir Chandran in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aziz Singh got free with Mark Au in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute Dale Sim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Au saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mark Au made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Aziz Singh sent off a good shot on target. Faiz Shiong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gage Tian, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gage Tian stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Muhammad Namasivayam struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Mark Au didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Runcorn AFC. Dale Sim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Au having to interfere. Amir Chandran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th match minute, Runcorn AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muhammad Namasivayam to maneuver through the defense. Faiz Shiong made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Amir Chandran sent off a good shot on target. Mark Au made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aziz Singh in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute Dale Sim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Au saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute Gage Tian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faiz Shiong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aziz Singh in the 79th minute of play forced Chelmsford AFC's goalkeeper Mark Au to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mark Au showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Sim in the 80th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes Chelmsford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Firdauz Yip. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aziz Singh in the 84th minute of play forced Chelmsford AFC's goalkeeper Mark Au to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Chelmsford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Sim came free, but Mark Au reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Runcorn AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Gage Tian scored to the left of an out of position Faiz Shiong, making the score, 1-1. In the 95th match minute, Runcorn AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rifki Shiong to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
