Bovingdon
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mark Seng kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute Dale Pieng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darren Seng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prime Chandran in the 9th minute of play forced Bovingdon's goalkeeper Darren Seng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Dale Pieng left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Prudhoe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 16 minutes, Samuel Ching mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Prudhoe and the Bovingdon players grew even worse after the yellow card. Samuel Ching hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Prime Chandran struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Darren Seng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Prudhoe. After a defensive mix-up in Prudhoe's zone, Alif Hock stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Cheng came out of the goal and Alif Hock tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Seng in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Cheng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Darren Seng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Pieng in the 38th minute of the match. John Cheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Seng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Prudhoe's Samuel Ching got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Tan Tian was shown his second yellow card after 48 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Tan Tian kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Prime Chandran stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Dale Pieng reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Darren Seng. The goal made the score 1-3. John Cheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Seng in the 60th minute of the match. Darren Seng made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Prime Chandran sent off a good shot on target. After 65 minutes, Mark Seng mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bovingdon and the Prudhoe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mark Seng hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Bovingdon's Mark Seng got a free kick in the 70th minute. Dale Piengs short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Darren Seng to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Bovingdon booed when Prudhoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Low didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Samuel Ching in the 80th minute really tested Darren Seng's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 81st minute, Alif Hock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute, Mark Seng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the game, Prime Chandran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Darren Seng was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Prudhoe booed when Bovingdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Hee didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Prime Chandran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prime Chandran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Darren Seng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Cheng didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mark Seng went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Prudhoe walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
