Wei Xuan Kang had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Noh Ramachandran's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Dale Sim came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Runcorn AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dale Sim couldn't finish the play. Wei Xuan Kang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aziz Singh in the 14th minute. Muhammad Namasivayam kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Prime Chian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wei Xuan Kang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dale Sim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Didi Ramachandran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Faiz Shiong having to make a save. A collision led to Runcorn AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Muhammad Namasivayam hit a great ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Didi Ramachandran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harold Hill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Didi Ramachandran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Didi Ramachandran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Faiz Shiong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aziz Singh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Wei Xuan Kang made a huge save. After 41 minutes, Prime Chian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harold Hill and the Runcorn AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Prime Chian hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Sim in the 43rd minute of play forced Harold Hill's goalkeeper Wei Xuan Kang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 47 minutes into the game, when Noh Ramachandran put in a rough tackle. In the 47th minute, one of Runcorn AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Runcorn AFC. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Harold Hill. Prime Chian stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Faiz Shiong. 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Aziz Singh hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Harold Hill's Didi Ramachandran got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wei Xuan Kang didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aziz Singh went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Prime Chian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faiz Shiong having to interfere. Wei Xuan Kang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aziz Singh in the 75th minute of the match. Aziz Singh's late challenge caught a Harold Hill's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aziz Singh helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Runcorn AFC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Aziz Singh hit a great ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Aziz Singh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Runcorn AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aziz Singh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute, Didi Ramachandran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Harold Hill fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Aziz Singh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Wei Xuan Kang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Runcorn AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Harold Hill were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
