Ronn Chien-Kwan made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Clive Swee sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron Tan in the 14th minute of play forced Thomson9ers's goalkeeper Ronn Chien-Kwan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Gara Sum in the 20th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Anil Lam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Namasivayam, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 25 played minutes Thomson9ers got a freekick which was hit by Bineesh Hee. Worcester's Anil Lam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gara Sum in the 27th minute of play. With 32 minutes on the clock, Didi Keng commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 31st minute, one of Worcester:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Worcester. Anil Lam had in the 33rdth minute some difficulties stopping Azam Hong's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Gara Sum succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1.

The wind increased when Gara Sum made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Clive Swee made a precise shot to the right of Ronn Chien-Kwan. Thomson9ers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. A hard shot 56 in the game by Alex Namasivayam from a close distance when the talented Anil Lam managed to make a qualified save. Worcester's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clive Swee in the 57th minute of play forced Thomson9ers's goalkeeper Ronn Chien-Kwan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Clive Swee sped through Thomson9ers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ronn Chien-Kwan. After 62 minutes, Adam Sarangapani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Worcester and the Thomson9ers players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Worcester:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Thomson9ers:s goal. Azam Hong walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Clive Swee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute Gara Sum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anil Lam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Thomson9ers's Anil Lam threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gara Sum, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Worcester's Clive Swee got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alex Namasivayam got free with Anil Lam in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Azam Hong's late challenge caught a Worcester's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Azam Hong helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Thomson9ers's Azam Hong got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Worcester's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Noh Butcher in the 85th minute. A well done corner resulted in Clive Swee drilling the ball in to score 4-1 behind Thomson9ers's goalkeeper. In the 89th minute, Adam Sarangapani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Azam Hong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Anil Lam made a huge save. Clive Swee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronn Chien-Kwan having to interfere. Worcester walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
