When Aziz Lee fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Radin Mas AFC's protests and gave Aziz Lee a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Radin Mas AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Aziz Lee hit a great ball. Radin Mas AFC's Asiz Tan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faizal Soon in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hidayat Lee was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Faizal Soon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asiz Tan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Paine lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 53 minutes into the game, one of Radin Mas AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Radin Mas AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Faizal Soon scored to the left of an out of position Asiz Tan, making the score, 2-2. Amirul Teo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Sarangapani in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Hamir Wah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amirul Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Tan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ashington's Amirul Teo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamir Wah in the 73rd minute of play. Amirul Teo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hamir Wah's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. If Hamir Wah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Steven Sarangapani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Radin Mas AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Steven Sarangapani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amirul Teo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ashington's Amirul Teo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamir Wah in the 80th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Hamir Wah cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Amirul Teo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ashington's goalkeeper Amirul Teo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Aziz Lee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bryan Rajah fell near the penalty area in the 99th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ashington's protests and gave Bryan Rajah a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Radin Mas AFC booed when Ashington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 99 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryan Rajah didn't get a good kick on the ball.
