In the 2nd match minute, Wimborne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Azly Hian to maneuver through the defense. Dale Yeo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Faizal Lee. Wimborne's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Faizal Lee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Azam Hsin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Azam Hsin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sarb Siong in the 7th minute of play forced Wimborne's goalkeeper Faizal Lee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Asiz Sum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afriz Chuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Wimborne's Asiz Sum slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Afriz Chuan. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. In the 19th minute, John Shyan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute of the match Dale Yeo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Faizal Lee showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Faizal Lee stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexander Siang's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Asiz Sum dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Afriz Chuan, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asiz Sum in the 33rd minute of play forced Dover United's goalkeeper Afriz Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Asiz Sum reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Afriz Chuan. The goal made the score 4-0. Sarb Siong succeeded in the game's 42nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. After 46 minutes of play, Dover United's Azam Hsin made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faizal Lee was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexander Siang stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Afiq Lum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexander Siang in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faizal Lee saved Wimborne from getting behind. With a little luck, Wimborne's Faizal Lee got control of the ball when Sarb Siong tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Dover United booed when Wimborne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Shyan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Asiz Sum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wimborne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Asiz Sum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Siang in the 74th minute of play forced Wimborne's goalkeeper Faizal Lee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th match minute, Wimborne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lee Sarangapani to maneuver through the defense. If Sarb Siong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Sarb Siong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Faizal Lee was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A hard shot by Azam Kool from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Faizal Lee's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 94 played minutes Wimborne got a freekick which was hit by John Shyan. Jonathan Soon made in the 96th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Afiz Tee. There was no doubt that Wimborne were the better team. Wimborne's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
