The referee ignored Saltaire's protests and gave Juliusz Jul a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, Juliusz Jul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Partington booed when Saltaire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Merlin Boon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karim Ghazi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şanver Eryetiş, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute.
