Spectators: 8449 (Terracing: 6338, Seating: 1943, VIP seats: 168) Saltaire's Aziz Rajah started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 8 minutes into the game, Saltaire's Aziz Rajah nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mujahid Ching made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When Saltaire's 龚明宁 in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rothley's goalie prevented a goal. In the 14th minute 龚明宁 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mujahid Ching saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, 龚明宁 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Mujahid Ching was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th minute 龚明宁 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mujahid Ching saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aziz Rajah scored 0-3 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mujahid Ching, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 25 minutes of play, Saltaire's Juliusz Jul made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mujahid Ching was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30thth minute of the game Aziz Rajah who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rothley's Mujahid Ching was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Saltaire booed when Rothley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faiz Yang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mujahid Ching took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wu Ao Liang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 played minutes Rothley got a freekick which was hit by Faiz Yang. Alex Seng charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Seng the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alex Seng kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Rothley's goal looked a bit too open when Wu Ao Liang came free, but Mujahid Ching reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Wu Ao Liang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mujahid Ching having to interfere. After having played for 53 minutes, 龚明宁 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saltaire's supporters crossed their fingers, but 龚明宁 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Rothley's zone, Merlin Boon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mujahid Ching came out of the goal and Merlin Boon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If 龚明宁 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Rothley's goal looked a bit too open when Aziz Rajah came free, but Mujahid Ching reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Aziz Rajah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Rothley's goalkeeper Mujahid Ching had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 龚明宁. 68 minutes into the match, Rothley's goal looked a bit too open when Aziz Rajah came free, but Mujahid Ching reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wu Ao Liang in the 69th minute of play forced Rothley's goalkeeper Mujahid Ching to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 minutes of play, Saltaire's 龚明宁 made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mujahid Ching was left in no man's land by his defense there! 龚明宁 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Mujahid Ching made a huge save. Wu Ao Liang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Mujahid Ching tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Saltaire could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rothley throughout the match.
