Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 5 minutes, Noh Lim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rothley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Noh Lim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Muhammad Politiek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poulton-Le-Fylde's supporters rose to their feet, but Muhammad Politiek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mujahid Ching breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mujahid Ching took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Muhammad Politiek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Muhammad Politiek dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mujahid Ching, 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Poulton-Le-Fylde's goal looked a bit too open when Noh Lim came free, but Ron Ning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mujahid Ching came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Poulton-Le-Fylde's Muhammad Politiek. But to his dismay, Muhammad Politiek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Mujahid Ching made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Muhammad Politiek sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Muhammad Politiek in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mujahid Ching saved Rothley from getting behind. After 37 played minutes Rothley got a freekick which was hit by Dale Hui. Muhammad Politiek hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Muhammad Abisheganaden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sean Tan's late challenge caught a Poulton-Le-Fylde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sean Tan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rothley getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Sean Tan hit a great ball. If Arif Dyce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hidayat Hian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mujahid Ching having to interfere. In the 78th minute Noh Lim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Ning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Muhammad Politiek hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. When Dale Hui came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Rothley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dale Hui couldn't finish the play. Mujahid Ching showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muhammad Politiek, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Poulton-Le-Fylde's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
