In the 6th minute, Shukrie Chandran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 14 minutes, Faiz Shyan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mirfield United fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faiz Shyan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 16 minutes, Faiz Shyan made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Geadling's Sarb Abdul tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sarb Abdul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faiz Shyan, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Hamir Tian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mirfield United fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Hamir Tian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sarb Abdul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniz Au sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniz Au hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faiz Shyan in the 34th minute of play forced Geadling's goalkeeper Sarb Abdul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Mohammad Choo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Hong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afiz Phua in the 45th minute. After the first half Mirfield United fc were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faiz Shyan made a kick off. Faiz Shyan in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sarb Abdul, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Azli Hee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Sarb Abdul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Faiz Shyan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sarb Abdul. Faiz Shyan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Ong Choo's late challenge caught a Mirfield United fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ong Choo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Mirfield United fc's Sajeev Rajah got a free kick in the 75th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Faiz Shyan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mirfield United fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Faiz Shyan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mirfield United fc's Jonathan Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afiz Phua in the 80th minute of play. In the 98th match minute, Geadling was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniz Au to maneuver through the defense.
