Mindaugas Karalius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zack Ramachandran in the 25th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, 何正兴 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After 82 played minutes Tampines Rovers Football got a freekick which was hit by Placido Gines. Tan Seng took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mindaugas Karalius. Tampines Rovers Football's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 88th minute Alejandro Selatse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anil Chuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Asiz Rajah's late challenge caught a Stanway FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asiz Rajah helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tampines Rovers Football's Asiz Rajah got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute Shukrie Pillai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mindaugas Karalius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tampines Rovers Football's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
