Spectators: 8970 (Terracing: 6800, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 170) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alexander Sim made the kick off which started today's match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afiq Yeo got free with Arif Lim in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute Haziq Ee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Lim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arif Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haziq Ee in the 8th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, Spang FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Ee to maneuver through the defense. After 14 played minutes, Geadling's Daniz Seng shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arif Lim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Geadling reached it. Arif Lim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniz Au in the 20th minute. Mark Ee hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Sean Sim's late challenge caught a Geadling's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sean Sim helped the player get up and apologised. With an all-out effort, Geadling's Arif Lim threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Haziq Ee, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 29 minutes into the game, Spang FC's Khai Nair nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sarb Abdul made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Sim in the 35th minute of play forced Geadling's goalkeeper Sarb Abdul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spang FC's Arif Lim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haziq Ee in the 38th minute of play. When Spang FC's Alexander Sim in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Geadling's goalie prevented a goal. Sean Sim was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 41 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Haziq Ee made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Daniz Au had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arif Lim. Spang FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniz Au was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Afiz Phua hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Afiq Yeo's late challenge caught a Spang FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afiq Yeo helped the player get up and apologised. Sarb Abdul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Ning in the 65th minute of play. Arif Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afiq Yeo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arif Lim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afiz Phua, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Arif Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afiq Yeo in the 73rd minute of play. Arif Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afiz Phua, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Afiz Phua left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Geadling fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Arif Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afiz Phua in the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Haziq Ee made a precise shot to the right of Arif Lim. Spang FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Arif Lim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniz Au went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. 94 minutes into the match, Spang FC's goal looked a bit too open when Haziq Ee came free, but Arif Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
