Haziq Siong made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mark Phua in the 8th minute. Mark Phua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Haziq Siong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Geylang River Otters fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Geylang River Otters's Mark Phua looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lee Lee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danial Lee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waterfoot's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Wei Xuan Yi-Sheng 22 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 4-0. 24 minutes into the match, Mark Phua had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Haziq Siong. Waterfoot's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mark Phua was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Geylang River Otters's Mark Phua slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Haziq Siong. That made the score 7-0 after 32 minutes of play. After 35 minutes of play, Geylang River Otters's Mark Phua made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haziq Siong was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stelian Iordache scored 9-0 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haziq Siong, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Geylang River Otters's Lee Lee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bakar Kang in the 44th minute of play. Haziq Siong made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Jerry Lee sent off a good shot on target. Waterfoot's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Mark Phua scored to the left of an out of position Haziq Siong, making the score, 10-0.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Phua in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haziq Siong saved Waterfoot from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Waterfoot's Gabriel Tian got a free kick in the 55th minute. In the 55th minute of the match Mark Phua shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Haziq Siong showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Geylang River Otters were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Waterfoot's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mark Phua took the corner. The corner ended in Mark Phua almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Waterfoot's Haziq Siong did a great save. After 58 played minutes Waterfoot got a freekick which was hit by Bakar Kang. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark Phua in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Haziq Siong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Mark Phua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Geylang River Otters's Mark Phua in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Waterfoot's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Stelian Iordache's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haziq Siong was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. After 68 minutes, Mark Phua made it 11-0 with a short kick to the right side. Waterfoot's Haziq Siong tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 12-0 when Mark Phua sped through Waterfoot's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Haziq Siong. Haziq Siong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mark Phua's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute, Mark Phua ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haziq Siong was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. Waterfoot's Haziq Siong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelian Iordache in the 81st minute of play. When Geylang River Otters's Mark Phua in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Iordache in the 92nd minute of play forced Waterfoot's goalkeeper Haziq Siong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geylang River Otters's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
