Spectators: 8187 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 187) 10 minutes into the game, Sidnei Maciel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Lee Lee was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bogdan Vasilache made in the 14th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alif Cho. Sidnei Maciel took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lee Lee. Lee Lee dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After having played for 24 minutes, Sidnei Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tampines Rovers Football's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidnei Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sidnei Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tampines Rovers Football's Amir Au got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sidnei Maciel scored 4-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lee Lee, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Tampines Rovers Football's Placido Gines got a free kick in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stelian Iordache made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Sidnei Maciel notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Geylang River Otters's Lee Lee. Lee Lee was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidnei Maciel in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lee Lee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Tampines Rovers Football's Sidnei Maciel in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Geylang River Otters's goalie prevented a goal. Amir Au hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. The supporters of Geylang River Otters booed when Tampines Rovers Football was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amir Au didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tampines Rovers Football's Placido Gines quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bogdan Vasilache, made in the 64th minute of the game. Lee Lee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Selatse, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Alejandro Selatse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lee Lee. Geylang River Otters's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejandro Selatse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. In the 74th minute of the match Placido Gines sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lee Lee skillfully saved the ball. If Amir Au had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Geylang River Otters's zone, Amir Au stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lee Lee came out of the goal and Amir Au tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Alejandro Selatse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tampines Rovers Football had played much better football throughout.
