Spectators: 7850 (Terracing: 6200, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 50) Lee Wenyong started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lee Wenyong got free with Shahron Dryburgh in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bryan Yip came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Revengers's Wong Hongyi. But to his dismay, Wong Hongyi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Merlin Gopala Pillai hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the game, Lee Wenyong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Shahron Dryburgh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 20 played minutes Birkendale Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Victor Lee. 26 minutes into the game, Revengers's Ioan Agachi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bryan Yip made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Bryan Chuan's late challenge caught a Birkendale Rangers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bryan Chuan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th match minute, Revengers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryan Chuan to maneuver through the defense. Shahron Dryburgh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Steven Sum's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Birkendale Rangers's Bryan Yip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merlin Gopala Pillai in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute Ioan Agachi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryan Yip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wong Hongyi scored 1-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bryan Yip, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute Wong Hongyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryan Yip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Birkendale Rangers's Bryan Yip played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wong Hongyi in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ioan Agachi in the 43rd minute of play forced Birkendale Rangers's goalkeeper Bryan Yip to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute, Farhan Yeo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wong Hongyi was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Revengers's Wong Hongyi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bryan Yip. That made the score 1-4 after 53 minutes of play. Bryan Yip was a little too slow when Anil Siong got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 1-5. Birkendale Rangers's John Dyce was substituted for SK Rajah. Birkendale Rangers's Bryan Yip proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Birkendale Rangers from getting a goal against them. Bryan Yip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wong Hongyi in the 63rd minute of play. Anil Siong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Bryan Yip made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steven Sum during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Steven Sum kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Birkendale Rangers's Bryan Yip proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Birkendale Rangers from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the match, Birkendale Rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Wong Hongyi came free, but Bryan Yip reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anil Siong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Bryan Yip made a huge save. Bryan Yip was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Anil Siong showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 85 minute of play. Anil Siong kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Bryan Yip showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wong Hongyi, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Ioan Agachi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Lee hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Revengers's Wong Peng shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 98th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bryan Yip but with some difficulty. When the final whistle sounded Revengers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Birkendale Rangers.
