Lee Hsi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wei Xuan Yang having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Warer City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Wivenhoen a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nicholas Tee, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Warer City's Shafiq Phua. 1-0. Nicholas Tee took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Shafiq Phua. Warer City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lee Hsi took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wei Xuan Yang. Wei Xuan Yang dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Shafiq Phua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muhammad Namasivayam in the 40th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Warer City defense, Bineesh Yang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shafiq Phua. The Warer City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shafiq Phua should have stopped the shot. Bineesh Yang in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Shafiq Phua, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darryl Teo was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Muhammad Namasivayam managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wivenhoen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Muhammad Namasivayam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerard Tan kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Nicholas Tee sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Warer City's Shafiq Phua didn't even have to move. Bineesh Yang struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Shafiq Phua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wivenhoen. The attack was good, but when Muhammad Namasivayam in the 63rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Shafiq Phua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muhammad Namasivayam, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Darryl Teo kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Wei Xuan Yang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gara Sum in the 73rd minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shafiq Phua prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wivenhoen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
