An unexpectedly hard shot by Wong Hongyi in the 6th minute of play forced Teisir Pollo's goalkeeper Darryl Pillai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Teisir Pollo's Mohammad Hongyi fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After some careless play in the Teisir Pollo defense, Wong Hongyi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Darryl Pillai. The Teisir Pollo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Darryl Pillai should have stopped the shot. Revengers's Wong Hongyi got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wong Hongyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darryl Pillai having to interfere. Ioan Agachi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Amir Devan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Darryl Pillai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Merlin Gopala Pillai in the 21st minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Ioan Agachi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Revengers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ioan Agachi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Teisir Pollo's zone, Wong Hongyi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Darryl Pillai came out of the goal and Wong Hongyi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the game, Amir Devan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Teisir Pollo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Revengers the free kick. Wong Hongyi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darryl Pillai having to make a save. Shahron Dryburgh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steven Au in the 35th minute. Ioan Agachi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darryl Pillai having to interfere. Shahron Dryburgh made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Mohammad Hock sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mohammad Hongyi was the one to do the kick off. Mohammad Hongyi took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Shahron Dryburgh. Shahron Dryburgh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Ioan Agachi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darryl Pillai having to make a save. 56 minutes into the match, Teisir Pollo's goalkeeper Darryl Pillai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ioan Agachi. Wong Peng hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Revengers's zone, Afriz Swee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shahron Dryburgh came out of the goal and Afriz Swee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the match, Teisir Pollo's goal looked a bit too open when Wong Hongyi came free, but Darryl Pillai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amir Devan hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The supporters of Revengers booed when Teisir Pollo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amir Devan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darryl Pillai made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Ioan Agachi sent off a good shot on target. In the 70th minute, Wong Hongyi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wong Hongyi got free with Darryl Pillai in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ioan Agachi might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Darryl Pillai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ioan Agachi ran back to his position shaking his head. Ioan Agachi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Darryl Pillai made a huge save. Ioan Agachi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Darryl Pillai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Wong Peng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute, Amir Devan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ioan Agachi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Darryl Pillai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The corner led Revengers's Merlin Gopala Pillai to fire away a dangerous shot which Darryl Pillai despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
