When Faris Chew came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Ipplepens fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faris Chew couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the game, Afiz Tioe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ipplepens's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Harolld Hill the free kick. In the 19th minute, Afiz Tioe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 22 minutes, Alexander Hong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipplepens and the Harolld Hill players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 22 played minutes Ipplepens got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Hong. Tan Vijiaratnam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Tan having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Faris Chew managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipplepens's supporters rose to their feet, but Faris Chew was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Tan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Azli Rajah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Seng having to interfere. In the 35th match minute, Harolld Hill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Pieng to maneuver through the defense.

Samuel Tan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tan Vijiaratnam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faris Chew who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Samuel Tan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Harolld Hill's Felix Soon got a free kick in the 61st minute. Faris Chew's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Tan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Ang Tan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 68 minutes, Azli Rajah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harolld Hill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Azli Rajah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Harolld Hill booed when Ipplepens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afiz Tioe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faris Chew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Samuel Tan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tan Vijiaratnam in the 80th minute of play forced Harolld Hill's goalkeeper Samuel Tan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, one of Ipplepens:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ipplepens. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Harolld Hill. Ryan Sarangapani stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Samuel Seng. 1-0. Faris Chew recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Harolld Hill had won after a very even match.
