Sharizan Abdul kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With a little luck, Ken FC's Wong Dyce got control of the ball when Afriz Pieng tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wong Dyce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hafriz Siang, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Jerry Tan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Dyce in the 24th minute of play. Camden AF made a substitution. Rifqi Chai replaced Lamar Koh. After 46 played minutes Ken FC got a freekick which was hit by Arif Hsi. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gerard Dyce to make the kick off.
