The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Mohammad Hongyi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teisir Pollo's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohammad Hongyi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faizal Lim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 5 minutes into the match, Yaptoon's goal looked a bit too open when Mohammad Hock came free, but Faizal Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mohammad Hongyi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Faizal Lim was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Mohammad Hongyi succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Faizal Lim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mohammad Hongyi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. Haziq Hian scored 2-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Darryl Pillai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Faizal Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Wenyong in the 24th minute of play. Mohammad Hongyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faizal Lim having to interfere. After having played for 29 minutes, Muhammad Seah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yaptoon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Muhammad Seah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammad Hongyi in the 33rd minute of play forced Yaptoon's goalkeeper Faizal Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faizal Lim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mohammad Hongyi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 35 minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Mohammad Hongyi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Faizal Lim, 4-1. In the 44th minute Mohammad Hongyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faizal Lim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Faizal Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohammad Hongyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Haziq Hian was the one to do the kick off. Afriz Swee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Faizal Lim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 53 minutes of play, Yaptoon's Muhammad Seah made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Darryl Pillai was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mohammad Hongyi in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faizal Lim saved Yaptoon from getting behind. Steven Au received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Faizal Lim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammad Hongyi in the 62nd minute of play forced Yaptoon's goalkeeper Faizal Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Yaptoon's Gage Paine got a free kick in the 66th minute. Gage Paine kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Mohammad Hongyi took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Faizal Lim. Faizal Lim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. Darryl Pillai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haziq Hian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mohammad Hongyi in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Faizal Lim saved Yaptoon from getting behind. Darryl Pillai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haziq Hian in the 76th minute of play. When Alex Wenyong came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Teisir Pollo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Wenyong couldn't finish the play. The Teisir Pollo fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Teisir Pollo's Mohammad Hongyi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 84th minute, Merlin Tee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faizal Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Wenyong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teisir Pollo's Mohammad Hock got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
