Wong Dyce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tan Vijiaratnam in the 3rd minute of play. If Faris Chew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. Ken FC's Wong Dyce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faris Chew in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes in the game, Gerard Dyce fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Samuel Seng having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Ken FC's Gerard Dyce dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After some careless play in the Ken FC defense, Faris Chew kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wong Dyce. The Ken FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wong Dyce should have stopped the shot. Wong Dyce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tan Vijiaratnam, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Ipplepens's goalkeeper Samuel Seng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Chuan. After 28 played minutes Ipplepens got a freekick which was hit by Afiz Sarangapani. Samuel Seng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerard Dyce, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Tan Vijiaratnam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Wong Dyce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Gerard Dyce made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Gerard Dyce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tan Vijiaratnam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tan Vijiaratnam in the 59th minute of play forced Ken FC's goalkeeper Wong Dyce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerard Dyce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Samuel Seng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the match, Ken FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tan Vijiaratnam came free, but Wong Dyce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ipplepens's Samuel Seng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Chuan in the 75th minute of play. Samuel Seng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Chuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 played minutes Ipplepens got a freekick which was hit by Afiz Tioe. Felix Chuan might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Seng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Chuan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 84th minute, Felix Chuan made a precise shot to the right of Samuel Seng. Ipplepens's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Gerard Dyce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Seng having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
