Warer City's Shah Boon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Chuan in the 9th minute of play. Ken FC's Wong Dyce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Ken FC from getting a goal against them. In the 14thth minute of the game Lee Hsi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ken FC's Wong Dyce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute, Farhan Ching got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jonathan Sim fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ken FC's protests and gave Jonathan Sim a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Ken FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Sim. A hard shot by Shafiq Phua from long distance, 22 minutes into the match, got Wong Dyce's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 24th minute, Ken FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lee Hsi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Farhan Ching sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sharizan Abdul charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sharizan Abdul the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Warer City booed when Ken FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sharizan Abdul didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wong Dyce made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Farhan Ching sent off a good shot on target. Shah Boon came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Ken FC's Wong Ching. But to his dismay, Wong Ching quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Ken FC's Jonathan Sim got a free kick in the 45th minute. Farhan Ching who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Wong Dyce when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 54th minute, Afriz Wenyong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Farhan Ching during the 56th minute. After having played for 74 minutes, Lee Hsi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Warer City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lee Hsi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 76 minutes into the game, when Azly Teo put in a rough tackle. 75 minutes into the game, one of Ken FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 78th minute there was a penalty for Warer City. Shafiq Phua stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Wong Dyce. 1-1. 82 minutes into the match, Shahiran Chong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wong Dyce. Ken FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shahiran Chong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Sharizan Abdul hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Warer City's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
