The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zsolt Varsányi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Seng in the 5th minute of play. Wen Ke Yan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zsolt Varsányi firmly grabbed it by the left post. 9 minutes into the match, Smelling Cats FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Seng came free, but Zsolt Varsányi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Smelling Cats FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hafriz Ee to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Jonathan Siong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stars fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Smelling Cats FC's goalkeeper Zsolt Varsányi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Siong. In the 20th minute Bernt Willig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zsolt Varsányi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Smelling Cats FC's Zsolt Varsányi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Seng in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Stars's Jonathan Siong ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zsolt Varsányi. Zsolt Varsányi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 31st minute Merlin Choy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muhammad Chan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinei Damião kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot Smelling Cats FC's keeper Zsolt Varsányi was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Jonathan Siong could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Zsolt Varsányi made a huge save. Alexander Phua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Muhammad Chan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Smelling Cats FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Seng came free, but Zsolt Varsányi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zsolt Varsányi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Siong in the 39th minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, Smelling Cats FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merlin Choy to maneuver through the defense. Alexander Phua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Muhammad Chan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the match, Adam Seng notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Smelling Cats FC's Zsolt Varsányi. Zsolt Varsányi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 56 minutes into the match, Stars's goalkeeper Muhammad Chan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Merlin Choy. Jonathan Siong took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zsolt Varsányi. Zsolt Varsányi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Merlin Hsin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stars's Muhammad Chan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Merlin Choy in the 66th minute of play. Stars made a substitution. Rudy Chandran replaced Adam Seng. Zsolt Varsányi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Siong in the 71st minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Smelling Cats FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rudy Chandran came free, but Zsolt Varsányi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Claudinei Damião cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Zsolt Varsányi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Smelling Cats FC's Merlin Choy got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Smelling Cats FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rudy Chandran came free, but Zsolt Varsányi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 minutes, Rudy Chandran made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Smelling Cats FC's Zsolt Varsányi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Stars's goalkeeper Muhammad Chan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shahiran Gopala Pillai. A collision led to Smelling Cats FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Amirul Ee hit a great ball. Claudinei Damião, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the referee ended the match the Stars players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
