The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ang Chew sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind LiverBird Flyers FC's goalkeeper Alam Wah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alam Wah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Chian in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Mark Chian made a precise shot to the right of Alam Wah. LiverBird Flyers FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Alam Wah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Chian in the 26th minute of play. After 31 minutes of play, NFH Family United's Mark Chian made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. NFH Family United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LiverBird Flyers FC the free kick. Anil Namasivayam kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, NFH Family United's goalkeeper Alexander Sum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edinho de Senna. 40 minutes into the game, Edinho de Senna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexander Sum. Edinho de Senna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Alexander Sum made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Edinho de Senna sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute, Bruno Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edinho de Senna to make the kick off. Alam Wah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Chian in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, LiverBird Flyers FC's Alam Wah got control of the ball when Mark Chian tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Mark Chian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NFH Family United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mark Chian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexander Sum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinho de Senna in the 60th minute of play. Mark Chian received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alam Wah came out and tried to block the shot, but Mark Chian slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, LiverBird Flyers FC's goalkeeper Alam Wah had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mark Chian. With his leg Alam Wah managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when NFH Family United's Mark Chian fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mark Chian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alam Wah read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Alexander Sum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göktürk Demir in the 76th minute of play. Alam Wah was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Mark Chian capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mark Chian really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. 86 minutes into the match, Mark Chian dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alam Wah, 1-8. 91 minutes into the match, LiverBird Flyers FC's goalkeeper Alam Wah had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mark Chian. Alam Wah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mark Chian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexander Sum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khairul Cho in the 95th minute of the match. The NFH Family United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing NFH Family United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
