The Nagemine Syn FC fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Nagemine Syn FC's Marion Yalung looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 27 minutes, Marion Yalung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nagemine Syn FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marion Yalung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nginamz Hartmann in the 28th minute of play forced Philippine Azkals's goalkeeper Berting Tulabing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute Marion Yalung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berting Tulabing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berting Tulabing didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florinio Cabili went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Berting Tulabing made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Lee Singson sent off a good shot on target. If Marion Yalung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lee Singson got free with Berting Tulabing in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nagemine Syn FC's Marion Yalung suffered a concussion in the 78th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Nagemine Syn FC made a substitution. Jeff Matundan replaced Florinio Cabili. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Philippine Azkals! The referee gave Nagemine Syn FC a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marion Yalung, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Philippine Azkals's Berting Tulabing. 0-8. After 83 minutes of play Philippine Azkals's Virgilio Hartmann was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Nagemine Syn FC booed when Philippine Azkals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgilio Hartmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lee Singson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berting Tulabing having to interfere. Philippine Azkals's Berting Tulabing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marion Yalung in the 89th minute of play. When the match was over Nagemine Syn FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Philippine Azkals throughout the match.
