Hugh Ayson started the match with the kick off. Ali Dorlas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Igme Querimit showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. In the 17th minute, Adolph Tumanda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Igme Querimit managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manila Bears's supporters rose to their feet, but Igme Querimit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Dorlas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Igme Querimit's late challenge caught a Sarimanok FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Igme Querimit helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute, Igme Querimit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Papi Masibay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ali Dorlas was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Leonard Salvador hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 38 played minutes Sarimanok FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Salvador. If Papi Masibay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Papi Masibay made a kick off. Papi Masibay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ali Dorlas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Adolph Tumanda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Manila Bears's Papi Masibay in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sarimanok FC's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Papi Masibay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Igme Querimit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ali Dorlas having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Alex Llaban got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Oscar Dacalcap managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manila Bears's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Dacalcap was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Sarimanok FC's goal looked a bit too open when Papi Masibay came free, but Ali Dorlas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Papi Masibay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Papi Masibay came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Manila Bears fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Papi Masibay couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Manila Bears had played much better football throughout.
