The audience was convinced that Neckson Tagamolila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Berting Tulabing was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. If Neckson Tagamolila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florentino Garvida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tito Bengco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Philippine Azkals's goal looked a bit too open when Neckson Tagamolila came free, but Berting Tulabing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cornelio Guanzon succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 40th playminute. In the 43rd minute Ian Bagongarao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Garvida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elijah Tongol charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elijah Tongol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elijah Tongol kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neckson Tagamolila made a kick off. Tito Bengco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in San Jacinto United™'s zone, Tito Bengco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florentino Garvida came out of the goal and Tito Bengco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berting Tulabing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Guanzon in the 65th minute of play. Berting Tulabing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neckson Tagamolila, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Tito Bengco scored 1-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Florentino Garvida, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A hard shot by Tonying Mangkay from long distance, 83 minutes into the match, got Florentino Garvida's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tito Bengco struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Florentino Garvida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Philippine Azkals. After 95 played minutes San Jacinto United™ got a freekick which was hit by Luzon Masibay. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
