Berting Tulabing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warren Cagauan, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The audience was convinced that Simon Ortega's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Berting Tulabing was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Philippine Azkals's Elijah Tongol got a free kick in the 7th minute. Berting Tulabing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Warren Cagauan in the 9th minute of the match. Herbert Karingal kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Futbulilitz's Salvatore Sopsop in action when he in the 13th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 16th match minute, Futbulilitz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otto Cabili to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Futbulilitz's Ponyong Queppet got a free kick in the 21st minute. A collision led to Futbulilitz getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Clifford Macanas hit a great ball. If Warren Cagauan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Simon Ortega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ponyong Queppet lost his temper 33 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Futbulilitz:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Philippine Azkals:s goal. After some careless play in the Futbulilitz defense, Tonying Mangkay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raminos Gacungan. The Futbulilitz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raminos Gacungan should have stopped the shot. Tito Bengco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ian Bagongarao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Berting Tulabing didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simon Ortega went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 58th minute, Philippine Azkals's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Simon Ortega fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ian Bagongarao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Raminos Gacungan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tito Bengco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Futbulilitz's goal looked a bit too open when Tito Bengco came free, but Raminos Gacungan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Philippine Azkals's goalkeeper Berting Tulabing had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Ortega. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Bagongarao in the 86th minute of play forced Futbulilitz's goalkeeper Raminos Gacungan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Ian Bagongarao got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Tito Bengco came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Philippine Azkals fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tito Bengco couldn't finish the play. Otto Cabili kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Futbulilitz players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Philippine Azkals.
