The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leroy Panaguinto during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Partington AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leroy Panaguinto. When Leroy Panaguinto was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 33 minutes had been played. Leroy Panaguinto kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Phillip Magarin took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roel Taboyayong. Roel Taboyayong dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Rammynnos Macapugay hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Phillip Magarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Phillip Magarin to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Gainsborough's zone, Phillip Magarin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roel Taboyayong came out of the goal and Phillip Magarin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the match, Partington AFC's Phillip Magarin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roel Taboyayong narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Phillip Magarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Roel Taboyayong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacob Tabuyo charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacob Tabuyo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Phillip Magarin came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Partington AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phillip Magarin couldn't finish the play. Gainsborough's Roel Taboyayong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phillip Magarin in the 89th minute of play. Phillip Magarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Roel Taboyayong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Partington AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
