Leonides Sia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Josepho Quimque cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Andrew Mamot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Andrew Mamot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orville Casuga in the 15th minute of play. If Bern Madali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Orville Casuga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrew Mamot having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Philippine AZkals's Aurelius Baradi got a free kick in the 29th minute. Wallace Quinabo, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Bern Madali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Philippine AZkals's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bern Madali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Philippine AZkals players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bakewell United were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orville Casuga to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Bakewell United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeronimo Sipin to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Philippine AZkals's goal looked a bit too open when Orville Casuga came free, but Andrew Mamot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Philippine AZkals:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bakewell United:s goal. When the match had been going on for 67 minutes, Bakewell United's Wallace Quinabo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Andrew Mamot. In the 71st minute, Bern Madali got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rdth minute of the game Leonides Sia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bakewell United's Roscoe Emperio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Orville Casuga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrew Mamot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Bern Madali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roscoe Emperio having to interfere. If Josepho Quimque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andrew Mamot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orville Casuga's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. If Bern Madali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ollie Borromeo's late challenge caught a Philippine AZkals's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 90th minute of the game, Jerome Zerrudo landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 90 minutes into the game, Archie Panaguinto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bakewell United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Philippine AZkals the free kick. Archie Panaguinto hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bakewell United walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
